About: Offshore: Floorhand

The Floorhand is responsible for pipe handling, casing and drilling equipment on the drill floor as well as carrying out maintenance on the equipment.

The Floorhand also makes and breaks rotary connections using rig tongs, handles tubular goods, elevators and slips, and operates semi-automated pipe-handling machines. Additionally, the Floorhand participates in the daily cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance work on the drill floor and in the shale shaker room.
