Your training as an Officer Cadet in the Electro-Technical discipline (METO)to manage and maintain the sophisticated range of electrical, electronic and engineering equipment which are everyday features of modern vesselsresults in a Foundation Degree (FdEng) in Marine Electrical and Electronic Engineering and also allows the option of top-up to an Honours Degree. Either degree option includes professional certification by the MCA, allowing you to work on vessels of any flag, worldwide. Admission to a Foundation Degree course requires a minimum of 120 UCAS points, including a numerate subject plus GCSEs (Grade C or above) including Maths, Science and English.
