You are aged between 17 and 29, hold British citizenship and have a degree in mechanical, electronic or aeronautical engineering; alternatively physics or a related subject. Entry is by competitive selection conducted by the Admiralty Interview Board (AIB). Relishing technical challenge and with exacting standards and a keen eye for detail, you are also comfortable with leading and managing a highly professional team. This role is delivered in UK based Naval Air Stations and on board the larger surface vessels of the Royal Navy. Cutting edge technology is the order of the day with the imminent delivery of the Queen Elizabeth class Aircraft Carriers providing 24/7 capability 365 days a year.

An Air Engineer Officer is part of the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm which operates a range of helicopters and once again, in the near future, fast jets. This job is all about making sure the aircraft are ready for operations, whatever the conditions, at sea or on shore.
