A yacht delivery skipper has a big challenge on each job. He/She must learn the boat and all her characteristics in a short space of time and get underway. In addition he/she must manage a crew which will have varying levels of experience.

Professionalism and timing is key, the boat has to arrive in showroom condition and so it's critical while on passage to ensure no damage is done and as little of the boat is used as possible.
