Become: Aircraft Controller Royal Navy

Aged between 16 and 25, you hold British citizenship and have 2 GCSEs or equivalent. Entry process includes medical and physical fitness tests. You keep calm under pressure and can think on your feet. You should like working as part of a team and enjoy challenge. You could work on shore at a Royal Naval Air Station or at sea onboard a frigate or destroyer or indeed on one of the new aircraft carriers due to enter service soon.

In this role, you are the vital link between the aircraft and it's base, whether that be a ship or a naval air station. You are involved in the mission at every stage, from getting the aircraft safely off the deck or runway then coordinating its movements before bringing it safely in to land.
